Fantastic New Time-Splitting J-Drama - Mop Girl
This is a new Japanese series which just premiered and is really worth checking out.
It’s basically a combination of Pushing Daisies and Journeyman with a distinctive Japanese flavor.
Part One:
Part Two:

Looks as if it takes parts of the American show “Early Edition” too with the mystery of how the events occurred. I seriously disliked that show, while enjoyed this show whole-heartedly.

people looking for doramas… check d-addicts.com its pretty much the place to get info about shows, links to d/l and links to sub groups, etc. even has a wiki for complete show info. also does pan-asian dramas (Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc).
thanks for linking this, I’d heard about Mop Girl but dismissed it because it didn’t sound all that interesting. i’m definitely reconsidering watching it now.

This looks more like Journeyman and not really like Pushing Daisies. It’s a more light hearted type of Journeyman.
It’s a good show, so far.

Awesome, I’m enjoying them now. This is a great example of one of your new posts lamenting the recent lack of Japanese TV on YouTube. These doramas take a butt-ton of money to make, and I’d happily give good money to those that can provide it to me. Subtitles are preferred but not necessary.
My computer thinks that butt-ton isn’t a word. Computers are so stupid.

Well, I think it mostly resembles “Tru Calling” since Tru had a similay ability. I really start liking Mop Girl.

I have just received the JP-TV 2 disc box set of Mop Girl episodes 1-10 and have mostly enjoyed watching the program, however I am very upset by the terrible subtitling in the English subtitles option. For episodes 1 & 2, the subtitling was excellent, but for the remaining episodes it appears that the English subtitling company was changed because the quality became completely unreadable and absolutely not understandable. The Japanese puns and vocabulary errors that are part of the charm for the lead character of Momoko Hasegawa are completely missing in the remaining 2-10 episodes door to the utterly bad job of translation. It appears that a Chinese company was used to make the English subtitle translations because even the character names were no longer using English romanization and seemed to be Chinese romanization instead. Also, the translation company did not even bother to translate the subtitles into understandable conversational English but seemed to use a literal word-for-word translation from Japanese kanji characters into Chinese and then into literal word-for-word English. Not only did the this company fail to translate the dialogue understandably but they didn’t even bother to check for correct spelling! On top of all this, in episode 10, the subtitlers used the words “bitch” and “slut” in the translation which I do not think TV Asahi would have approved. Only because I liked the show so much in the first two episodes, was I willing to watch the remaining episodes at all, despite the fact that the extremely bad subtitles made me very upset and angry. Whomever is responsible for hiring this company should be fired and the company that was allowed to do the subtitling should never be used again as well as being made to refund their fee to TV Asahi!

how can anyone say it remind you of a(n) American show. Asians come out with everything first then Americans cop them. well thats my opinion
