Pageant of the Masters - Paintings Brought Into Real Life

The world has come full circle. Here I am, in Los Angeles, blogging about a Japanese TV clip about an event I’d never heard of that takes place in suburban Los Angeles. I don’t know whether to be shocked, surprised or saddened.

Either way, this is pretty awesome. Real life recreations of famous paintings. It’s performance art of art. And while it may be relatively cheesy in person, watching it through the filter of Japanese TV gives me just the right feeling of happiness.

Official POM site is here. With extra champagne cork popping!
