Here, in the new video for ‘Stronger’, he recreates scenes from the classic anime Akira. Featuring Daft Punk for extra awesomeness.

this is wrong Kayne West for doing this. why would someone a woman and woman if not related to the film. i know daft punk made a deal with japanese anime creators but he not need to be in it. i would have taken him and the girl out. Kayne West should not receive any credit for this. i don’t want to see a dark skin Tetsuo Shima. daft punk and creators of akira should get credit for being creative and daft punk music. that not kayne west music. kayne west is a rip off.

aaaaaah, it’s a little thing called “collaboration” plus a little thing called “homage,” but I guess you’re too busy being a racist twelve-year-old to figure it out.

That said, I think the song itself is pretty week–the Daft Punk bit is the only interesting aspect. Kanye’s capable of better.

(And whoever did the makeup on the Asian woman needs to go back to working trashy US import mags, yeesh.)

Still, just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean that I can’t see some merit in it. The video itself is pretty creative and interesting.

“lilyqueen says:” hmm you seem like to be a very big anime fanatic. but did know when ” Cat Woman” was released in america & other places, it failed box offices a very disappointing film to watch. first of all cat woman is dark skin. there was a very well down cat woman in batman return directed by tim burton. Aside from all that. A lot of rappers love anime. It’s absolutely no surprise how much of a fan Kanye is with Akria. Anyone who actually pays money to make a music video based on a anime created in the 80’s is ok in my book. Didn’t Daft Punk do the same? OOh wiki Interstella 5555. For god sake they are in the freakin music video! They were in agreement with Kanye fully.

It reached #29 in the UK and was nominated for Best Dance Recording in the 2006 Grammys. daft punk finally got finally after hard work in music world.

i had never put him because he does not fit part. the anime characters are light skin or any blacks in film. i would put a black superman in film unless it was for funny show. black batman nope funny yes. black catwoman no way. if these were original black or colors than it would all right. its not racist. how would feel if some took credit for your old hard work. kayne barley sang moved his body. those were daft punk song and lines of course. i would not like other people change there music around leave it original as it own self. kayne west know any japanese or like food there. he probably went into eat buger king because it just opened for the first time.

i know blade was black and that was awesome and great film. now if he was white or different color than it would feel wrong. when i saw the blade part 1 it was the best ive seen. i did like spawn, i had the toys comics. the should of been better. also peace sign is kind of getting old asia. people in north america mostly rebellious protesting people used the peace sign, now who copied who mmm. if batman or superman were original black it would be fine to use it. im just saying.oh yeah blade 2 or 3 were ok , i guess the story being unfix or not as good as the first one. also i would like to point one more thing there are little midgets who are dress like KiZZ the rock band. of course they can play the intruments and act like them but made a deal with kiss. the kiss like there worked and was proud, now thats fine to happen.

Homage of this level ain’t a problem. It wasn’t screaming AKIRA.
There was a recent case of Final Fantasy Advent Children scene getting ripped by a Korean music video. THAT was no where near a “homage” level, but a blatant rip-off, IMO.

By reading the majority of these comments I have become quite disappointed. You make Black people out to be gangster and thugs who only look big breasts, big asses, and hoochies. And why do you say that all rappers do drugs? Or that no rappers like anime? Or Japan? What are you talking about Eastside and Westside? The Beastie Boys a white group who had a few hits? I mean seriously you need to give Colored people a break. You act like every single black person is some rapper gangster who smokes weed, hires hookers, steals crap, etc. If this is what you think then you should also take into consideration that White people, Asian people, Spanish People, etc. have all done the same thing.
