Calling All Japanese Speaking TViJ Readers: What Is This Clip?

Hi all.

I’ve been seeing this clip all over YouTube for the past few days. Anyone have any insight into it?

Looks like a report on a ghost car?

This was a video of a hit and run that someone posted on YouTube. The original video that this news report is about, that is. The big deal is that people are outraged that even though the car can be identified in the video, the police haven’t charged anyone with the crime because the owner apparently lent the car to someone else and they can’t or won’t charge him. So yeah, people are just mostly upset at the ineffectiveness of the police force re this video.

I’d have to listen to it again, but I think I got the highlights. Someone had a camera in their car when they got hit. They went to the police, I didn’t quite understand why the police didn’t do anything. Then he posted the video on his blog via YouTube, and the blog readers tracked down the car owner’s address and personal info.

Yes, the owner of the car told the police that he found someone on the net, and lent them the car in exchange for fixing it. So, he phoned the guy who borrowed it and he played innocent. Afterwards, the police phoned the number and the no. was no longer in use.
