Strange Cat Montage Under the Guise of Anime Tribute

Yes, I have been taken with the Caturday photos as much as anyone. However, I never saw myself posting anything whatsoever to do with Caturday here, until I came across this video.

For explanation, I turn to you, my TV in Japan army. If any of you can let me know what this is all about, I would greatly appreciate it. For those of you who can’t, just enjoy the barrage of cat photos.

Well… the song accompanying the video was largely about ‘nekomimi’, or ‘cat ears’. So I’m guessing the entire thing is a tribute to cat ears…

The song in question is a remix of the two opening themes from ‘tsukuyomi moon phase’, an anime largely about a young vampire girl who likes to wear cat ears (’nekomimi’). Then they just threw in a bunch of pictures with nekomimi in them.
