Low Frequencies Bring Out The Ghosts In Everyday Liquid
Okay, this is just cool. Science nerds out there back me up on this.
The most fascinating thing about this is the fact that the shapes made by the frequencies look entirely unique, almost as if the liquid is creating them dynamically.
Uh, yeah. Something like that. Science nerds, explain this for me.
NOTE: Sure, this kind of thing might be featured on Mythbusters. But only on Japanese TV would they add Ray Parker, Jr. into the mix.

And as usual… they add music from movies that have nothing to do with the item at hand.
Robocop? Back to the Future?
What is it with Japanese and their penchant for using old movie scores?

I said “scores”, not songs. You know, background and / or theme music.
I did recognize Ghostbusters. But since it’s -already mentioned on the post itself-, I didn’t see a need to mention it again.

The small ball that mealts is easy to create on your own. Just water and….hm…. what do you call it. You use it when you make bread, not flour but almost. Baking powder?
Try it it is cool.

I think it’s cornstarch that you’re thinking of. There’s a clip on youtube where these guys in Spain filled a small pool with the cornstarch and water mixture and started running across it. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2XQ97XHjVw.
I think I’ll go try this in my bathtub. excuse me…

[...] Everyone knows that the Japanese love weird, freaky stuff. That is a fact. Cue a video over at TV In Japan about someone putting a strange liquid into a speaker, and seeing it “Bubble” in a semi-paranormal way. If you remember that it’s inside a speaker and suffering a bombardment of vibrations, then you’ll see it’s a fairly normal effect that Non-Newtonian Liquids can do. [...]

it’s cornstarch and water– when you squeeze it, it feels like a solid, but at rest it’s a liquid. that’s what the sound waves are doing, putting pressure on it.
