New Kasou Taishou - The 2007 Grand-Prix Now Online!
Remember Kasou Taishou? The show behind one of the biggest Japanese TV internet clips of all time?
No? Here’s my post about it from way back when this blog was just a little baby.
It’s back. And better than ever. Seven clips from the 2007 Premiere of the show from the Grand Prix (which must be tied into New Year’s Programming) have been uploaded by YouTube user ChappieTV.
Here they are in order from mind blowingly awesome to still pretty damn cool:
1. Breakout - This is the new Matrix Ping Pong and the star of these new clips. Watch as a creative individual turns his face into a video game via marshmallows and some black paint. Watch what happens as he gets to the top line.
2. Musical Notes in Real Time - Know how to read sheet music? I don’t either. However, that doesn’t stop me from enjoying this video of sheet music come to life.
3. Hokusai meets Salvador Dalí - Two painters. Different countries. One amazing live-action painting transformation.
4. Hammer Throw - This doesn’t look that amazing but made me laugh pretty hard.
5. Dueling Cards - These guys get a lot of extra points for the faces flipping with the cards. Also, I’m a fan of sword fighting.
6. Kid’s Nose is Tunnel - Simple and kind of a cop out, but at least the kid is earnest. And there’s a moment where you’re really not sure what’s going to happen to those cars. Or where they come from in the first place.
7. Dancing Duo With One Person Inside - I feel like I’ve seen this before. Still really fun.
Man, I hope the rest of this show finds its way online. Big thanks to the great people over at Plastique Monkey for the heads up on these things being online!

Awesome! Anyone have a link to the entire show? Torrent or Rapidshare or something?

Thanks so much for posting these. I’ve been looking for the past few years and have had very little luck in finding other segments.
