Getting Meta: World’s Largest TV on TV in Japan
Every year at CES, the Samsungs and Sonys of the world try to one up one another with bigger and bigger TVs.
While Japan’s Matsushita (or Panasonic to us) looks to have the edge in consumer models right now with their 103-inch Plasma, Mitsubishi actually now holds the World Record for the World’s Longest TV.

According to this Pink Tentacle post, the screen was recently completed for the Tokyo Racecourse and measures 11.2 meters tall by 66.4 meters wide. That is one awesome screen. And at a cost of over twenty two million dollars, it is also one very expensive screen.
While pictures of this thing are all well and good, what I really wanted to see what a crazy Japanese lady running the entire length of the thing and timing herself doing it. And when I call, the internet answers. Thank you internet. You rule.

I wonder what it would feel to have a lan party with that?

In the video, at 1:46, it says that it cost 32億円. That is JPY 3,200,000,000, or about USD $29M.
