    Surreal no doubt, but an ad ran for some time on Singaporean TV hawking “Ayam Brand” tuna (”Ayam” being Malay for chicken). Hence you’d see a happy animated rooster prancing about selling tuna. That’s sad. For tuna. On TV. In Singapore. ;-)

    I’m staying with some family in Japan right now and across the street from me is a place that sells beef whose name essentially translates to “The Moo Moo Club” The building is covered in cute cartoons of cows and calves and in one particularly disturbing panel there is a cow with it’s child and a speech bubble coming out of it that says “I dream of eating meat” It’s kind os strange to walk past that place.
