Bakuten Domino - How to Stack Nearly Everything
Okay, I’ve been bitten again.
Each time I think perhaps I’m starting to get a little jaded of my beloved TV in Japan, something like Bakuten comes into view.
So far I know two things about Bakuten: One, that the hosts don’t like lunch meat. Two, that they are mean domino stackers.
While the first is a passing fancy, the second seems to have some real staying power. After all, there’s a whole lot more stack to be had than just some lighters and old VHS tapes.
Like how about the contents of an Old Woman’s house?
The set-up is here if you want to see it.
Or in a school/laboratory with live animals including an ostrich & monkey?
Or as an alarm clock/breakfast maker with a score provided by Back to the Future?
Now when I google this show for info, I don’t get much. Therefore, I don’t know much.
However, I believe that (some of) you do. If so, drop the info in the comments or send me an email. I’ll update this post as we learn more about what exactly would draw grown men/women/animals to want to participate in this kind of behavior.

What’s that tune the claw game plays on the second one? I recognize it. I think it’s from a game, but I don’t remember which.

Hehehehe, I see you recognize that tune, damnit.. why can’t crane games out here in the states play music like Marble Garden Zone from Sonic? I’m not picky, I’d take anything nostalgic. Damn greedy claw machine never grips anything anyway, it’d be nice to have a catchy tune to play with at least.

Typically what happens is that the show uses the comedians’ possesions to set things up. The first one was that woman’s home and jewelry, as she is super rich (clearly) since she was married to the former president of Malasia (correct if I’m wrong, I alwasy forget who she was married to).
So that’s why the people get kinda ticked when a their car is taken apart and a bunch of doves crap all over it (the second clip) while a band plays the song “My car is broken, what should I do? (doshio)”.
Too funny!

I’m really interested in this show. I’ve seen two major parts of the variet show so far:
The dominoe stuff, and Hard Gay.
I gotta know more. :P
